Tutorial How to monitor DNS traffic in real-time

Thanks Colin. Your explanation makes sense, I just defaulted back to "No" now after removing some non-standard software.

Tutorial How to monitor DNS traffic in real-time

I'm slightly confused, as here in these 2 threads @ColinTaylor you recommend setting this option Tools - Other Settings > Wan: Use local caching DNS server as system resolver to No (i.e. default) and local hosts will use dnsmasq to resolve hostnames...

ZenWiFi Pro XT12 - RAM usage

Hi, execute free after you ssh into your XT12. The only one you should be concerned about is really under free buffers, not under free mem. A healthy Linux with extra unused memory is wasteful. So Linux borrows the unused memory for disk caching. This makes it look like you are low on memory...

RSSI data for AiMesh Node devices

You may want to download the stalist.sh script from https://github.com/megalloid/bcmdhdscripts Then, ssh to the mesh node after you ssh to the mesh router. In my case, I ssh to my node (ET8). Interestingly only the node interface has wl0.1 wl1.1 etc, my 5Ghz clients is on wl1.1 so I run...

[RT-AC68U] [Asuswrt xx.38-1] Overclocking settings are lost after reboot

I bought mine at Costco 2 weeks ago for $159 USD. It said mfg year 2013 with check number 1676 (Here is on the router label: Asus RT-AC68R, H/W Version: A1, F/W Ver: 3.0.0.4.374_379). It cannot over-clocked beyond 1200/666 (Yes it came with bootloader 1.0.1.6), otherwise it goes into reboot loop...

[RT-AC68U] [Asuswrt xx.38-1] Overclocking settings are lost after reboot

I just want to point out with 1.0.1.6 CPE bootloader I got with my new AC68 last Saturday: when I set the DRAM frequency beyond the default 666, the router will powercycle itself. I have to reset it. I can overclock the CPU though, setting it to 1000 MHz.
