Yep, this is the one I have. It's a bit of an odd model with Qualcomm chips I think, but anyway... Even closeby, my transfer speeds are quite low. Importantly, I think, even with an ethernet connection, I still drop around 150 Mbps of what I would get by connecting to the ISP's router/modem...

Thanks for your replies... if 20% CPU usage is to be expected, then that's ok, as long as it's not affecting my transfer rates (those are suffering at the moment as well, but I'm not yet sure of the cause - thread here). I originally noticed this as I was looking for causes of my slow speeds.

Ok, some updates here. When I plug my computer directly into the ISPs modem, I get around 810 Mbps. When I plug ethernet into the AC88u, I get around 650 Mbps. When I connect via 5 GHz wifi, I get around 150 Mbps. So... Dropping 160 Mbps just by going through the AC88u isn't good... But...

Thanks... I'm not actually worried about wifi speed differences. It's the difference between connecting to the wifi 6 in the modem+router, versus connecting via ethernet (flat cat6) with my AC88u...
