    all right, when playing with drive enclosure it turned out to be half broken ... I got new one and speed is much better with the same drive :50/35 read/write (800/666)

    Where you able play this movie at all, e.g. through samba or directly? It looks damaged to me. What file system your drive has? it's preferred Linux files system. I had lots of issues with NTFS e.g. corrupted files, and as far as I remember I had the same errors related to NTFS.

    I'd try to restart DLNA server, if it doesn't help check the miniDLNA log what is going on. There might video codec compatibility issues that is doesn't recognize video files.

    miniDLNA is working much better again! strange that apparently you reverted it 37 where I had with it problems cheers

    From 37 and up miniDLNA doesn't play properly some media (video) files. Many users reported this, including me. e.g. - you can't play the whole movie, it stops after a while (10/15 minutes) - rewinding is almost impossible, it hangs after a few tries

    I think that's the best option with DD-WRT FW. I tried a DD-WRT FW for a while and DNLA (which is a broken in official releases and merlins releases after 36) is a thing of beauty, super fast.
