    Sorry for late reply. Yes I rebooted the router and the TP-Link kept appearing on the list. I packed the TP-Link device over a month ago. There was no reason whatsoever for it to show up on the clients list. I did not check the mac addresses on the devices, but if it was another device...

    What could it be when I assigned that IP address to that device when I initally set it up? And let's say you are correct in that something is connected, why would it, when I manually blocked it? Tell me more!

    Great to know. Thanks. Great. My PC runs Win 10. I understand. So far the laptop isn't disconnecting while I'm using my main pc. Only changes done was change the wifi channels, a call from the ISP to which they rebooted on their end. I'll keep you all posted. Thx.

    I'll try to when it happens again. I changed the channel from auto to 1 for 2.4Ghz, changed channel to 36 for 5Ghz. I will remove static IP if this helps the device from disconnecting. The laptop is used by someone in my household that does work and saves some files. There's light gaming done...

    Yes it is. Someone in my household lost the remote to it. But yes you're right, it doesn't correct my main issue. It is connecting as n in wireless log.

    Both devices use static IP, I made sure that each device has its own ip, and I don't have QOS enabled. Im not sure about the FreshJR script. The syslog there.

    Sure. If the laptop is connected, as soon as I use my pc to play a game or watch video, the laptop disconnects. I say interfere because all other devices connected to the network doesn't affect this laptop at all. It's only when I use my device is when it knocks the laptop off or disconnects it...

    Sort of similar to when you're updating a system bios. The settings that were part of the previous firmware version would not work well with a newer version. In some way, the new firmware was blocking connection to some programs. I am not going to dig too deep to find out why. I am just happy...

    Update: I followed just about all the directions from the link L&LD provided (some settings I couldn't find). Good news is Uplay client and chatbot launches successfully while using the Merlin firmware. Thanks to L&LD for helping out!

    That is exactly what I was getting. I am going to upload the merlin firmware again and do what L&LD suggested. I can't do it now since other people are using their devices. Hopefully, it will work
