    Thanks. That’s what I thought. Sounds like I should just leave it alone and chalk this up as a PS portal problem. Shame though. It’s a cool device when the connection is stable.

    Rmerlin has been great. I'm on a slightly older version, 386.7, but haven't had any issues. I was just looking at the Alien due to it being a mesh system, cool-looking and potentially more powerful.

    Thanks for the response. I have Spectrum Ultra 500 down. Not sure about upload honestly. I have a gaming laptop, work laptop plus iPhones, iPads and 2 Apple TVs. Speedtest is generally 550. This is with Rmerlin firmware.

    Would this mean that Asus AI Mesh is a poor choice then since it forces both Router and AP to use the same channels?
