Odd Issue: Device Not Showing, but Working

Interesting - 388.2_2-gnuton1 is showing as the current version when I run a check.

Odd Issue: Device Not Showing, but Working

I have an interesting issue. Yesterday, I updated my XT8 firmware to 388.2_2 (from the last version of 386). I have an XT8 as the router as well as 2 additional nodes. When I did the factory reset, I went through all of the discovered devices and renamed them, bound them to specific nodes if...

    Reason to Update

I'm currently running 3 XT8s on 386.07_2-gnuton1 largely issue-free for several months now. It's been a godsend after encountering so many connectivity issues with the stock firmware. My question is simple: if I'm not having any problems, is there a particular reason for me to upgrade to...

    XT8 5GHz-2 Backhaul Doesn't Hold - Any Final Suggestions?

I used to have the same exact issue. The only thing that worked for me out of all the remedies you'll see posted was switching to GNUton's Merlin releases. I'm currently so rock solid on 386.07 that I'm not even planning to upgrade to 388.1.

    XT(8) guidance

I was about to come post exactly what glens posted. I flashed to GNuton last week, and everything has been rock solid since. Nothing in my logs except devices moving between the 3 nodes as you move through the house. It's been perfect.

    Web History Stopped

I've got an odd issue. Not major, but annoying. XT8, running 386.07_2-gnuton1. Everything has been stellar since moving from stock to Gnuton. Love it. However, at about 7:10am today, the web history log stopped working. Nobody was home at the time, so it's not that someone changed...

At my wits end (XT8 Mesh)

Thank you both. It's only been about 24 hours (and I haven't had a chance to hard reset after uploading GNuton due to kids doing homework on their Chromebooks), but so far it looks very, very good. No more odd repeating registering interface, no more phantom DNS issues, and both nodes have...

At my wits end (XT8 Mesh)

I've been running a AiMesh for 2+ years now, and there always seems to be an issue. Last week, Asus sent me a replacement XT8 node after multiple attempts to troubleshoot via chat and phone. When I received that replacement, I did a factory reset on all 3 (main + 2 nodes) after ensuring all...
