I am trying to access the AP's GUI connected to the guest network wirelessly using a PC that gets an IP of 192.168.52.10.
Yes, the AP was configured for AP mode with LAN DHCP enabled. It is connected to LAN2 of main router by ethernet to the 2.5gbps Lan port on AP (RT-AX86U)
The RT-AX86U AP...
Ok, So I deleted the reservation from the router and the RT-AX86U got an IP of 192.168.52.5.
It still times out.
I tried : https://192.168.52.5:8443/ as I have HTTPS enabled for the AP.
I am connected on Rotel-PC 192.168.52.10
It already is. I have a DHCP reservation set on BE96U for it so it will always be 10.0.0.3.
I will retry tomorrow and see what I can do. I new to a lot of this VLAN stuff. Thanks
So I set this up in the RT-BE96U on LAN2 in GUI:
But I no longer can access my RT-AX86U (AP mode) GUI:
Lan IP of RT-AX86U was = 10.0.0.3
When I connect to Guest Network for VLAN 52 on LAN2 (Cindy1) am getting an IP of 192.168.52.10.
How do I setup the RT-AX86U AP mode?
1. set SSID's there also with same name for 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz, password as the BE96U and leave smart connect on in the AX86U?
Main router = RT-BE96U fw:3006.102.4
AP router = RT-AX86U fw:3004.388.9_2
*Both on Merlin Firmware
I want to use the RT-AX86U as a guest network node to share internet with a next door neighbor for her kids iphones and iPads to use while they are visiting. My main router is in the middle of my...
Does the Asuswrt-Merlin no longer display the SSID's on the top of the router page anymore? I believe they were there in the stock Asuswrt before I flashed Merlin on top.
I have all three radios with different names enabled. Thanks
I have my devices listed under LAN->DHCP-> Manual assignments. I have about 30 devices with custom icons and names. I was adding a new device and an error popped saying I have too many icons. I clicked ok and a very nice window popped up with a column list that showed all of the MAC address...
I was wondering how to suppress these random key value log entries from my log? (See Pic) There are a lot of these every day. What default log level should I use to only show relevant logs?
Thanks for any help on this!
So I have read that accessing your router GUI remotely is more secure using a VPN instead of enabling the WAN access settings in router. Does someone have a link to guide on what is involved to get this working?
I have an RT-AX86U router and am using Asus DDNS service. Do I just enable a VPN...
I set my AX86u to IPv6 "passthrough" as I am using Automatic IP for WAN connection per Asus FAQ. The test on IPv6Test site says its working. When I look at the system log --> IPv6 it shows connection type "disabled." (See pic)
Is this supposed to be like that?
