    Yep, "de-soldering with solder" seems odd but lower temp saves the traces and components from extended high heat damage while you get the other pins & nasty adhesive loose. Would have saved a few germanium transistors back in the day, alligator clips weren't the best heat-sinks! I didn't mention...

    SO TRUE! When I started biggest challenge was not burning your arm on a vacuum tube and my solder "gun" could also do eaves-trough seams !! Now my solder "station" has a microprocessor and its own vacuum but the latest thing is low melt de-soldering solder ...

    SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE IS VOLUNTEERING TO MAINTAIN A LIST IN PERPETUITY !! (of course over time it would "cost" him a lot of time -and- people would STILL ASK WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT IT)

    RT-AX58U - allow devices on a Guest network to communicate with each other?

    I would like a group of devices to be able to talk to each other and the Internet but not to the Internal network. Is there a way to allow internal communication on a Guest network? Or is there a better way?

    RT-AX58U model is on sale?

    Major Canadian Retailers have stubbornly maintained the same $229.99 price on the RT-AX58U for some time. Suddenly it is on sale for $40 to $50 off ($190/180) at several stores but most have no stock. Is this a clear out of returns, refurbs, reducing stock on a retiring model or just a Fall sale?
