    R7800 dynamic DNS update fails

Nope, with crapgear it’s take it or leave it. You’ll need to install a custom firmware to get this functionality.

    R7800 dynamic DNS update fails

Didn't work for me. Clicking status still gives "Update failed at 10:13AM,07/06/2018 The service provider is not reachable." response. Netgear continues their downward spiral.

R7000P - Poor USB transfer speed over time

I take nightly snapshots of my PC and send them to an external western digital drive connected to the USB 3.0 port on my R7000P. Initial write speeds are fine, over 100 Mbps connected via gigabit ethernet on a fresh reboot. As the days go on, this transfer speed becomes abysmal. I'm at 10 days...

R7000 wireless just disabled itself randomly?

It's not old at all really, maybe 6 months I'd say. I could look into an RMA, I have a spare R6400 I could use in the meantime. And yes, all passwords are changed from their defaults, and the logs didn't indicate anything was changed. In my experience I've found the logs to be far from...

R7000 wireless just disabled itself randomly?

I’ve reset it a lot over the months of owning it, for a number of things like the GUI becoming inaccessible over time to disconnections. It is on the latest firmware which I had updated to last week. I’m not looking to start an argument, but I already explained to the previous poster that it...

R7000 wireless just disabled itself randomly?

Alright let me explain since people want to claim they know more about the house than I do. My father lives here and is 67 years old, and my mother knows literally nothing about technology. The router sits in an isolated room that nobody lives or sleeps in. I am 100% positive nobody touched it...

R7000 wireless just disabled itself randomly?

Deal with it? What crawled up your butt? Nobody in my house turned it off, let alone knows how to.

R7000 wireless just disabled itself randomly?

I woke up today to find all my wireless devices unable to connect. Everything hardwired was fine, so I logged into my R7000 and found a red X next to 2.4 and 5 GHz. Checking into the Wireless Settings under the advanced tab I see this. So I go and press the physical Wifi button on the unit for...

NETGEAR R7000P Nighthawk Smart WiFi Router with MU-MIMO Reviewed

@thiggins if you still have your unit, can you confirm yours also has a 533MHz memory clock?

NETGEAR R7000P Nighthawk Smart WiFi Router with MU-MIMO Reviewed

Not sure honestly. The memory module appears to be of the same family as the R7000 but it would seem that it's underclocked by Netgear I guess. It is indicated on its datasheet it's typically at 800MHz. It is a bit strange. Netgear has made some interesting choices to say the least.

NETGEAR R7000P Nighthawk Smart WiFi Router with MU-MIMO Reviewed

If the processor is indeed 800 MHz, then Netgear is telling a big fat lie. EDIT: Decided to look into this further. It appears that the Netgear R7000P does have a 1GHz clockspeed as reported when I telnet into my unit. It would seem that the BCM4708C0 is a 1GHz clocked version of the 800MHz...

NETGEAR R7000P Nighthawk Smart WiFi Router with MU-MIMO Reviewed

Can you post your source where it says the BCM4708C0 is at 800 MHz? I tried searching but couldn't find the official spec page. I only ask because I tried to edit the specs on the WikiDevi page for this model but someone reverted my changes stating its 1 GHz. There is also some discrepancy with...
