    Strange, very strange

How would I go about doing this? "Check your models compatibility and your router configuration and see if you can make them work better." Your advice on Asus systems is noted, what brand/model would you recommend? I've no issue dumping my Asus components, they were free...

    Strange, very strange

Lol, just like my Wyze cams, to achieve any semblance of functionality from them, all 9 of mine are set to restart 3x daily via Wyze Smart plugs... I've come to realize that they are mere monitoring devices and should never be used in a comprehensive security system, given their price point...

    Strange, very strange

I've a mesh system consisting of 2 ET8's and a single AX6, one of the ET8's is acting as the router, while the other two are setup as wired backhaul nodes, yes I have a large home. According to Asus's web based GUI the entire system's connection quality is "Great". My question is why would a...

Allowed special characters in SSID?[was 'Unbelievable...']

Does anyone know what other special characters besides "&" are not allowed in an Asus mesh system SSID password? I've been attempting to change the channel bandwidth on my system, however why I apply the changes I get an error message that "&" is not allowed within my password, I've assigned a...

    Question about wifi control channel

Gentlemen, gentlemen.... I didn't realize that my inquiry would stir up such vigorous debate, although such banter is worthwhile for voicing different opinions, I thank you both for your responses. For what it's worth, I've decided to let the router choose the appropriate channel, much like...

    Question about wifi control channel

Newb throwing this question out... What are the advantages of assigning a wifi control channel manually on 2.4 gHZ when surrounding routers are on the same channel insofar as to prevent interference? My system is presently set automatically on channel 8, is this is setting dynamic as my...

    All over the place....

I've wisely decided to take all your advice and downsized my system to just 2 ET8 units, one acting as the router, the other as wired backhaul mesh node. System performance has been excellent for the past 3 hours... I subscribe (sometimes ignorantly) to the idiom "If some is good, more is...

    All over the place....

It may sound excessive, but the system worked just fine 2 weeks ago, that is what's stumping me. Perhaps I will take your advice (and others) and downsize it...for what it's worth the 3 AX nodes were free.

    All over the place....

This screenshot shows 2 wired backhaul nodes (outside patio & garage) as being disconnected, yet both LED's on the nodes are solid white, confusing. Notice also that an AX node (home) is successfully connected wirelessly to the main router, yet it's LED is flashing blue. Would it make a...

    All over the place....

I'm a bit confused as to what you refer to as the node's setting, are each individual nodes capable of being set as an access point or a media bridge? The attachment shows the system's operation mode set as wireless router mode/AI Mesh router mode, would not this setting apply to the main...

    All over the place....

I think my TP Link TL SG116 unmanaged network switch is going wonkers because when I add an additional Asus AX6600 mesh node to it, the Asus web based GUI topology chart will show other wired backhaul nodes as being disconnected and then re-connect, this cycle will repeat itself constantly, with...

    Firmware rollback

Yes, indeed I do, both my smart phone's hotspot and recently acquired T-Mobile cellular service via their gateway, which I thought was causing wireless broadcast conflicts with my mesh system, it is not. Because of my mesh systems dismal performance, I had to initiate contingency plans...lol

    Firmware rollback

Mahalo for your detailed response! Pardon my ignorance, but I'm assuming that the AX6600 will need to be connected to my laptop's ethernet port via it's WAN (blue) port at some point in the process? BTW, I've (4) AX 6600 units acting as mesh nodes in my system with the blasted 388 series...
