    ASUS RT-AC87U Syslog Emergency tags

Thanks, will do. But out of curiousity, what are they? I set up my syslog early 2018 and altough I have had these alerts twice before I have probably rebooted my router a few times more (10-20 times in 4 years maybe). Seems like a deviation out of the ordinary, what may have triggered them?

    ASUS RT-AC87U Syslog Emergency tags

Today I started getting emergency messages collected by my syslog-server sent from the router after I switched on the guest network for a Chromebook supplied to one of the kids by the school, see below (Router-IP dedacted). I try stay clear of Google/Microsoft and keep them at arms length, they...

Weird MAC lease and active connections (ASUS RT)

Always set to fixed. But by some reason, the MAC have probably been toggled from unfixed to fixed so a new fixed one were set. I really don't like those software MAC:s. There should be a law or something for hardware MAC:s, haha.. Problem solved :)

Weird MAC lease and active connections (ASUS RT)

Yup, I have two Motorola devices, both have a DHCP reservation created manually. I have disabled both right now and haven't seen the "weird IP" since but it useally takes 10-20 minutes until it gets back. If it does not come back, I will switch on wifi for the devices one at a time and see if...

Weird MAC lease and active connections (ASUS RT)

Good find. But I think it's odd they add another IP to the router? Why won't they run through it's own assigned IP? Does Android cellulars run a lightweight DHCP?

Weird MAC lease and active connections (ASUS RT)

I upgraded my ASUS RT-N66U to a ASUS RT-AC87U one or two years ago when Merlin stopped releasing updates (I run Merlin firmwares, the old RT runs as an access point now). During this time there's been something that bother me. I run a manual DHCP assigning all MAC adresses to IP's manually (I...

    [TUTORIAL]CHEROKEE web server through optware

Stock Firmware does not support JFFS, and that is needed for Cherokee. Merlins firmware is awsome, highly recommended even if you're not to install additional Linux packages.

    [TUTORIAL]CHEROKEE web server through optware

Yay, its working. Thanks alot. I'm suprised how stable this server is. I tried this with my Popcorn Hour C200 but performance were awful. Any suggestion on how to be able to run the config without putty and one-time password?

    [TUTORIAL]CHEROKEE web server through optware

Don't work... Might be some basic setup of Cherokee I'm missing? Like how to setup a basic admin account so I don't need to run the one-time password each time?

    [TUTORIAL]CHEROKEE web server through optware

I'm running RT-N66U with Merlin's 3.0.0.4.260.21. I can't get the autostart to work. I need to run putty and "cherokee-admin -b" each time the router needs rebooting. Then the "once-password", login, and "start server". Any limitation in this firmware or am I not doing something obvious? Like...
