    If you were replying to me, I mentioned the Merlin firmware because the AiMesh proprietary component in the 3006.102 code might be different from the component in the 3004.386 code. So what worked for me back then, might not now and I haven't actually checked to see if it does.

    When I was running RT-AC68U with Merlin 386.x they both would reboot. I haven't actually watched the node since switching to the RT-AX86U-Pro with ASUSWRT, but I assumed they would do they same.

    Have you watched to see if the node is actually rebooting when it's scheduled?

    Are you running the newest ASUSWRT or Merlin? Do you have the backhaul set to ethernet only in the aimesh -> system settings? Or it is set to auto? I have two RT-AX86U-Pro that also reboot weekly and both always reboot and work fine.

    The cheaper Asus routers just have the time limits. The more expensive ones that come with what they call AiProtection Pro also has the ability to block different categories of websites and apps. If you are trying to block "adult" content, you can just use a DNS like 1.1.1.3 / 1.0.0.3

    If a factory reset doesn't work with the C1100T, maybe check if it has the correct PPPoE credentials? If they are empty you can get them from phone/chat support. Beyond that you can get a used C3000z or C4000BZ off of ebay for $30-$50

    Could they not require OEMs to release firmware updates to devices that are not EoL which would disable that part of the spectrum if in the US?

    With AiProtection + 1.1.1.2 DoT + Firefox/Ublock Origin, I've never had anything nefarious happen on my network (As far as i know). AiProtection did immediately detect and block some used VoIP box that a housemate connected to the network that had some botnet malware which was trying to probe...

    Does AiProtection really work?

    When i was using a RT-AC68U with AiProtection on my 940m connection would only get around ~820m. With my current RT-AX86U-Pro I get the full 940m with AiProtection on.

    If you have a C3000z or C4000BG/C4000BZ you already have a dual bond DSL modem, so you can't get any faster speeds. You'll just need to get your PPPoE credentials from phone/chat support. here is a guide for fiber but it's the same setup

    Is this a new install? Have you tried the basic troubleshooting? Factory reset --> flash firmware --> factory reset --> manual configure

    The AC68U is 12 years old and EoL. You can get a new router, or run FreshTomato which still has support.

    I'm running the latest firmware and I've not experienced this. Though I have mine reboot weekly.

    Both my router and node auto updated over night. So far so good.
