    Netgear Orbi (Wi-Fi 6) 753 or 852?

*EDIT * Typo in the subject title: I wrote 852 when it should have been 842. Didn't realize Netgear has two different 800 series Orbi; an 842 and an 852. I'm looking to switch to a higher performing mesh system (currently running two ASUS RT-AC68U's in a wired mesh setup) and was looking at...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 is now available

Thanks for the info. Just noticed there was a tab labeled "Administration - Temperature" which I didn't see in the ASUS firmware. It's reporting my router for: Current Temperatures: 53 °C - 55 °C - 83 °C Any cause for concerns? Is this normal?

Unable to login to RT-AC68U's web gui admin after a few weeks of uptime?

Thanks, I just switched over to Merlin this morning. :)

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 is now available

I've switched over to 384.13 this morning on my primary RT-68U + RT-68U AiMesh node setup, coming from the native ASUS firmware and was wondering: 1. For my AiMesh node, should I also change the firmware over to the Merlin 384.13 or leave it on the native ASUS version? Which is the recommended...

Unable to login to RT-AC68U's web gui admin after a few weeks of uptime?

I didn't know Merlin now supports AiMesh as I thought all this time it AiMesh was proprietary to ASUS and he couldn't implement it?

Unable to login to RT-AC68U's web gui admin after a few weeks of uptime?

ASUS stock firmware, as I'm running AiMesh. I rebooted both routers today and everything is back to normal. Going to update the firmware on both routers now (to the same firmware) to see if that will help.

Unable to login to RT-AC68U's web gui admin after a few weeks of uptime?

Thanks for the tip. I'll enable SSH access on the routers admin page.

Unable to login to RT-AC68U's web gui admin after a few weeks of uptime?

I'm seeing a strange issue on my RT-AC68U's (one is primary, the second an AiMesh node, that is on a wired ethernet backhaul back to the main router). After a few weeks of uptime, I am unable to login to the webgui admin page (192.168.1.1) of the router, even though I am able to ping my router...

2 clients are connecting to RT-AC68U?

Since I only have a single node that's connected via wired backhaul, I think I am going to switch that node from AiMesh to AP Mode. If I do go that route, I assume I need to set the radios (2.4 GHz specifically) on a different channel - either 1,6,11 - or am I safe enough to leave it on AUTO...

2 clients are connecting to RT-AC68U?

I have a puzzling (at least to me) problem that I haven't seen before on my RT-AC68U's (the primary and an AiMesh node on wired backhaul). I recently upgraded to the the latest firmware (3.0.0.4.384.45713) and after a few days of running, I was experiencing some issues mainly: 1. The kids were...

    Guest Network on AiMesh node?

Thanks for the update. Hopefully ASUS will implement supporting guest network on the AiMesh soon. On a related note, should I switch to router (primary) and AP mode (on the second unit) for better performance and reliability? My second unit is connected via hardwired (Ethernet).

    Guest Network on AiMesh node?

I am currently running two RT-AC68U's on my network; one is the primary router, and the second is the AiMesh node. Both units are on the latest 3.0.0.4.384_45149 firmware. Overall, it's been pretty stable with almost 40+ clients connected on a daily basis (e.g. IP cameras, thermostats, kids'...

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.20308 for All Supported Products

Updated my AC-68U to the latest version last night and within minutes of rebooting my router, the "System Log - General Log" began filling up with the following message every 10 seconds: Feb 6 12:00:51 lldpd[286]: unable to send packet on real device for eth2: No buffer space available Feb 6...

    Portal Goes Mesh

Hi, just wondering if you had a chance to review the Portal? I've been using one (was one of the early bird Kickstarter supporters) but from my experience so far, it's very much a "version 1.0" product in terms of features in their firmware and I'm running mine in "AP Mode" (or what they call...

Configuring ASUS RT-AC68U to work with Google Cloud Printing?

@chris_n Basically I searched for "Google cloud printing brother" on the internet and came up across several links that mentions ports that needs to open. Here's one such guide/post: http://www.everyoneprint.com/support/kb/452368/ This post seem to indicate that the ports are only for Google...
