    Diversion Multiple Whitelists in Diversion

Thanks for your efforts and talking a little about comming ideas. I didnt install and test guiderails because I really dont know how to do these linux installations but diversion is more familiar. It will be exciting to test these things out.

    Diversion Multiple Whitelists in Diversion

Thanks man, I wonder if this could run alongside diversion given it wraps around dnsmasq which Diversion also uses creating race conditions, status conflicts etc. Guiderails might be perfect for iot devices and cams and alike.

    Diversion Multiple Whitelists in Diversion

As Diversion currently works we can add a secondary blocklist (preferrable smaller) and link it to an IP on the LAN. I am thinking if it's possible to instead have one large main blocklist as usual for all devices and then use separate whitelists for a couple of IP's on the network?. Would this...

    Tooltip over options

Yes I usually look up the option and read a little about it but havent thought about a user manual but when you mention it, there is a link at the bottom within the router ui. Of course this is a low priority thing as the technical functions are more important. Thanks for you firmware releases...

    Tooltip over options

Hello Within merlins firmware and possibly also asus, we can see a tooltip when hoovering over an option. Some of these seems to be missing and have been neglected in time I guess. Who wrote those tooltips anyway and can the forum in some way help complete the work? I am myself an average user...

    Diversion Diversion 4.3.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, released April 02 2023

Ok so my version is 386.5.2, dont know exactly when it was released but I installed diversion also as usual and hasnt touched it since, so when is it supposed to stop working? Will it degrade over time due to some list of addresses getting to big or to old? I simply have to wait for this odd...

    Wireless log - Wired log

Is there a possibility to add a Wired log tab next to Wireless log to make it easier to view the two types of connections? Thanks

    Protected Management Frames

Yea and development time is money so not a chance an esp32 for example will have this feature implemented. I dont consider myself an important person such that someone would throw a small esp32 with a battery over my yard and pretend to be an access point. So if I have understood it correctly -...

    Protected Management Frames

Thanks for the answers, I will contact a couple manufacturers and point to various exploits in the wild and ask them what the reasoning is to omit such a simple fix in the light of upcoming wpa3 - generally one would think that PMF is something already built-in in the development software. Is...

    Diversion Diversion 4.3.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, released April 02 2023

Aha now I understand a little better, didnt realize ublock has closer access to the communication with goggle servers requests/responses due to browser integration. Tried youtube again in windows 10 untouched edge browser without add-ons and I only got like 3 ads in total. I tried to find these...

    Diversion Diversion 4.3.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, released April 02 2023

I think you should keep it if it doesnt clutter up your main diversion code. For me it works on my PC and Samsung TV for sure but not on my Sony TV since it craves a connection with some goggle service. Seriously what is the difference between blocking ads like ublock does and regular dns...

    Protected Management Frames

Hello forum. Does anybody know if PMF is a concern in general since most devices does not seem to work with it?. Of the somewhat newer devices in my household, my old HP Probook 5330m with an Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6205 wifi adapter seemed to support it, but another equally old HP...

    Youtube on smart TVs

Thanks for reply, yes I will look into "Active Connections" - looks like something I have missed, well I havent played around so much to be honest - if it works reasonable, it works :) Reason is mostly to get rid of these midroll ads in utube reallly. Preroll ads dont bother me so much and its...
