New new AP. Thinking of Ubiquiti but will it work?

I bought my current ubiquiti AP LR's about two months ago and both had POE injectors. That would be unfortunate if they stopped including them. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

New new AP. Thinking of Ubiquiti but will it work?

All the Ubiquiti AP's I've bought have had POE Injectors included.

Any experience with the TP Link EAP225 V3 AP?

The previous version got a pretty good review and currently Amazon has it on sale for only $70. I was thinking about disabling the wireless on my R7000 and go with AP's upstairs and downstairs. Somewhat relatedly, does anyone have any experience with TPLINK POE switches? Update - Ubiquiti AC...

Orbi: Ethernet backhaul kills entire network

The issue is that I just crossed over the one year mark last month for my original purchase. That unit was RMA'd a couple months after that, so I guess it depends on whether the Warranty clock is reset at that point vs the original purchase date. Unfortunately I let me 9 month open support case...

Orbi: Ethernet backhaul kills entire network

I've power cycled the Cable Modem twice and have reset the Orbi router twice in the manner you suggested. It flat out won't connect even when it's just the PC, Modem and Router.

Orbi: Ethernet backhaul kills entire network

Confirmed it's 100% an Orbi issue. Drug my old R7000 out of the closet and it connected to the internet without a problem. Also connected up to my hardline where the Satellite is and put in a switch....everything is working completely fine without any issues.

Orbi: Ethernet backhaul kills entire network

So upon reconnecting the Cable Modem (Motorola Surfboard SB6141) and the Orbi, the Orbi is no longer pulling an IP address from my ISP. However my PC directly connected to the Modem has zero issues . Basically I am going to do a factory reset of the Orbi again and see if that does it.

Orbi: Ethernet backhaul kills entire network

What exactly should I be looking for? The satellite has a connection type of wired. And all the rest of my devices connected up via Ethernet like they always have been are experiencing the same latency issues. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Orbi: Ethernet backhaul kills entire network

After some testing I don't think it's the cabeling as I am getting the same latency issues over WiFi sitting one foot away and my main PC is directly connected like it's always been without any issues. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Gripe: a terrible recommendation from this site

I disagree to a point. The firmware rollouts for the Orbi have been absolute crapshoots even when following best practices for upgrading. I know in following discussions on this forum and on Netgear that there seemed to be fairly decent number of people who flat out gave up and moved onto...

Orbi: Ethernet backhaul kills entire network

Update - I unplugged the connection to the satellite to put the wall plate on and when I plugged it back in again, crap hit the fan again. First off, the router wouldn't recognize hardline connection. I unplugged both the router and the Satellite for a bit but no dice. Then I went for a flat out...

Orbi: Ethernet backhaul kills entire network

If the backhaul didn't work for me, I would have sold the Orbi considering how much time i've wasted on it. For some reason the Orbi wireless backhaul had issues with live TV streaming despite having a good connection Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Orbi: Ethernet backhaul kills entire network

Update....Netgear guy came through in the clutch with the 2.2 beta firmware and I no longer have any issues. Having a dedicated Netgear rep that monitors this forum is an amazing value add.

Orbi: Ethernet backhaul kills entire network

So I wanted to follow up on this as I just installed a hardline to about where the Satellite is at and attempted the utilize the ethernet backhaul. Completely bricked my entire network within about five minutes and hard resetting the router didn't fix the problem This is with the most current...
