Which way do extended bandwidths extend?

I'm setting up my 5GHz wifi to use 80MHz for use with AC client, and I'm wondering which way does channel extension happen i.e. if I set my control channel to 60, what range of channels would actually be used to total 80MHz?

[Preview] 380.57 alpha test builds for all models

Sorry for the question but...I'm guessing it's also ok to not do a factory default reset if coming from 378.56 Beta 2 (since I think 378.56 Beta 2 -> 378.56_2 was ok I think)?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 Beta 2 is out

Oh wow that was quick, this will make things much easier, thank you! I used to have issues with previous firmwares and my WiFi being unstable after a few days, I'll report back my findings with this firmware later in the week however for now it seems as if things are good.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 Beta 2 is out

Sorry I meant to say the Port Forwarding page rather than the DHCP page. The port range I'm trying to add and then edit again is "22,80,4242,10101".

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 Beta 2 is out

In the DHCP list if the port range is too long to be viewed and gets truncated, when editing it the truncated string gets copied in to the edit box.

    [BETA] RT-AC87U 3.0.0.4_378_8715

If they've added the option to edit entries in LAN->DHCP, have they also added the option to edit entries in WAN->Virtual Server / Port Forwarding? That, and not being able to see the full port range of an entry (if the entry was long it would be truncated) were similar UI issues that really...

    [Beta] RT-AC87U_3.0.0.4_378_8248 Unofficial Beta

The ethernet speeds aren't affected at all (I'm mainly using an ethernet connection, everyone else uses wifi so I get the headache of fixing problems with little gain :)). I've not monitored the CPU and memory usage, however I too thought it must be something like a memory leak in the current...

    [Beta] RT-AC87U_3.0.0.4_378_8248 Unofficial Beta

I also always do the WPS reset and then enter settings manually and would still get wifi issues over time (eventually not being able to connect to 5GHz, and sometimes 2.4GHz slowing down to a crawl if working). It's good to hear that this firmware has fixed this issue for others, however for...

[MOVED POSTS] MU-MIMO still missing on RT-AC87U

OH MY GOD. PLEASE keep this discussion out of this thread. This thread is for a particular beta firmware for gods sake. You guys are making it harder to follow relevant posts. Mods should be deleting irrelevant posts.

Are you experiencing the same issues as I am here and here?

    [Beta] RT-AC87U_3.0.0.4_378_8248 Unofficial Beta

I wonder if my device has developed a fault. I'll try this new firmware and, failing that, go back to the stock firmware the router came with to check if it's still happening. I'll also look at some active cooling, perhaps the 5GHz ends up overheating or something (is it possible to monitor...

    [Beta] RT-AC87U_3.0.0.4_378_8248 Unofficial Beta

Do you regularly restart your router? Since around the _6xxx beta firmwares, I've been having an issue where computers will eventually not be able to connect to the 5GHz channel (Windows says it's unable to connect) and sometimes the 2.4GHz channel gets unstable. A router reboot always fixes this.

ASUS RT-AC87U 3.0.0.4_378_7449 Unofficial Beta Firmware

I'm getting an issue that I've been also getting with the last few betas. Both 2.4GHz and 5GHz work fine for a day or two, then eventually stop working properly. Windows says it's unable to connect to the 5GHz network, and the 2.4GHz becomes unstable on some laptops (this is with multiple...
