    WAN was exceptionally disconnected

I did experience the "Dreaded" ISP's DHCP did not function properly. To resolve this, all i did was change the DHCP query frequency to "Continous mode" instead of "Aggressive Mode". I do not have an ONT, but a Docsis 3 cable modem with 500/500 speed, so like you had to get around some config to...

RT-AX86U - Router and AP - Ethernet Port Status

I tried it, and performance was like 1/8 of the ISP speed with AiMesh. Using dual routers with one Main and an AP, i get full Down/Up speed, which is what i want... i liked the idea of AiMesh, but i can't live with 80mbps download when my isp provide 450mbps... i tried everything to get AiMesh...

amtm Any reason to use USB2 over USB3 when formatting USB Thumb Drive?

I read in older guides, that pretty much all guides i read explains on how to prepare and format a new USB drive in order to install addons... I am using a new RT-AX86U with Merlin, and wondering if in 2021, it is still actual to use the USB3.1 port, with a good brand USB 3.1 Thumb Drive and...

2x RT-AX86U for AiMesh and Merlin 386.2 Beta 3 and some AddOns... where to start?

Hi Everyone, Been a while here, but, now, i am facing somewhat a challenge. I am already using an RT-AX86U i got last black friday, which was working great, but after a couple of addons, and dirty flashes, i have some random reboots and crashlogs, and since i got my 2nd AX86U for AiMesh...

RT-AX86U - Crashing/Rebooting and ISP does not function properly

Well, it crashed again tonight... since last time, it's the only crash, but this time, it did exactly the same as it did to you, very fast reboot/reconnect, some people were looking at YouTube and didn't even notice the reboot of the router. I did not get the "no internet" globe on the...

RT-AX86U - Crashing/Rebooting and ISP does not function properly

In my logfile i provided on the first post in the thread, i was able to extract the crashlog, and it looks like this, twice: Line 633: May 5 01:05:10 crashlog: <0>Internal error: : 8a000000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP Line 634: May 5 01:05:10 crashlog: <4>CPU: 0 PID: 258 Comm: bcmsw_rx Tainted...

RT-AX86U - Crashing/Rebooting and ISP does not function properly

And i can see in the LOG that it reboots, because the logs have the date/time stamp, until the crash, where it reverts to like May 5... then when WAN reconnects and NTP kicks in, the logs are getting back insync with time and date... so i can only see the reboot period because it was logged as...
