Forgot to update in this thread, yes the replacement works perfectly with official and merlin firmware. So the issue I faced must be related to hardware, maybe some bad blocks in flash?

It's definitely not a browser or password app issue, because I configure from my laptop, and I can still see the password populated with my phone's browser. How can I fully reset the device? I tried to reset from web ui and from pushing the reset button for 30 seconds.
