Possibility to increase the length of the password (16 characters for the moment) ?

I would consider anything stored remotely a vulnerability unless you have the source code to both the client (phone) and the servers to verify that there are no back doors and all data is not only stored encrypted, but never transmitted without being encrypted before transmission.

Possibility to increase the length of the password (16 characters for the moment) ?

From a security perspective there's no need to worry about even 12-character passwords. If you use only alphanumeric characters you still get 71 bits of entropy. That may sound bad, but what's your threat model? Is it neighborhood hackers or war drivers? Even if they had a house packed with 100...

    Skynet SKyNet blocking traceroute

Found it. firewall stats search malware 192.124.249.68

    Skynet SKyNet blocking traceroute

I used to be able to find out from a Skynet command which blocklist was responsible for blocking an IP, but I can't seem to find that anymore. How does one go figuring that out these days?

IP is whitelisted in Alien Vault. https://otx.alienvault.com/indicator/ip/192.124.249.68

    Skynet SKyNet blocking traceroute

I think it's a bad CIDR for private IP addresses somewhere in Skynet. Traceroute works for most domains, but if it's a domain that resolves to the 192.124.249.0/24 IP block Skynet blocks it even though it's a valid public IP range.

    Skynet SKyNet blocking traceroute

Been using Skynet for years, but this morning it started blocking outgoing traceroute packets. Not sure how to fix that. There used to be a way to see which list or rule was responsible for blocking something, but now I can't find any reference to that command.

    ntpMerlin Hardware or software

You're advocating increasing NTP server traffic by 2^10 - 2^6 = 2^4 = 16 times. If everybody used maxpoll=6 it would increase the load on the Internet's NTP servers by a factor of 16.

    Best performing firmware for AX86U?

I use pretty much stock settings and I get 2.4 GHz signal up to 200 feet from my router in a suburban environment with dozens of competing APs. The 5 GHz signal doesn't go nearly as far, but that's an issue of physics not the router.

I've thought about building a little stratum 1 server with a Raspberry Pi and a GPS antenna, but I've never been motivated enough to actually do it.

No. The inside "weather" hasn't changed. I'm hoping it's not a slowly ticking clock documenting the decline of the ICs on my board. It seems to be drifting upward at 0.3 ppm per month.

This graph makes things more clear, I think. The time offset doesn't change much, but those patterns in the drift pique my interest.

    ntpMerlin Hardware or software

I'm using Chrony and my drift has a very discernible pattern, both daily and over the long run. The graph shows that each day the drift reaches a low point in the afternoon and climbs back higher in the evening and overnight hours. This pattern repeats every single day. It is also clear to see...

Help needed, wifi 2.4 is slowing down, and eventually all clients drop

His nodes are running Asus stock firmware. The probability of all three routers having the same problem simultaneously is extremely remote. There is likely an external factor. I don't know how OP determined that there are no sources of interference, but I would check very thoroughly using...
