Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

Oh yeah sorry, I normally do a factory reset everytime after flashing just in case. I realize its only required w/ major updates or when flashing 3 versions or more ahead. Since this is such a minor change an initialization prolly isnt necessary. Thanks! Still not sure why DDNS is telling me to...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

No need to reconfigure, does not compute. Im not leaving everytrhing at stock settings and I thought that saving & restoring settings was frowned upon when flashing a newer version?

I just updated to 386.12_2 & re-entered all my settings. Just now noticed 386.12_4 was released w/ only one difference in the changelog which states (UPDATED: openvpn to 2.6.8 (fixes a crash introduced in 2.6.7) Should I flash the newest firmware even if I never use OPENVPN?? will I get crashes...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.9 is now available for AC models

I noticed an issue with 386.9 (RT-AC86U). Its not a huge issue but whenever I go to client list to change a name or icon of a device & hit apply it doesnt apply the new name. Finally I decided to reboot router then it showed the device name changes. I never had this issue with any previous...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

Just flashed Merlin 386.7 and need to know if I should use ATM or PTM w/ Cake qos? (cable service is 260 down / 16 up). Google did not help other than one person saying that ATM is Only for DSL connections. Not sure if that is accurate Any other QOS suggestions welcome.

    Private dns question

I've been enabling private dns on my samsung A50 (dns.google) and I was just wondering since I am also using DNS-over-tls on my rt-ac86u (Latest Merlin build) should I instead use the OFF setting in my phone or the automatic setting? I'm assuming it's not necessary to have it enabled in both...
