a while back it locked up and only a full reset and flash of original bios fixed it. Now about every 2 or 3 minutes it looses connection on all ports, it last about 4 or 5 seconds. I switched to an old netgear and no problems so it must be the router. I guess its time to find a replacement.

I dl the rescue.exe and the latest asus software. and managed to recover the modem but it was a task to get it to connect to the internet. After much trying I finally got it back up and running. I replaced the router with an OLD Netgear N600 router and after 20 hours nothing has lost connect. I am going to keep testing but right now its either the router or the firmware on the Asus that is having problems.

I should have stated this is an ac3100 router. The roku goes thru a switch (trendnet teg /s8) along with the media center before going to the router. The firestick is using the 5g wi fi network to the router OR thru a tp-link extender. It doesn't seem to matter. What I do not understand that...

I can not get them to reconnect to the network, the roku is plugged into the router port 3 and it has to be reset to get it to connect to the network. I have taken the roku and the firestick and reinstalled the software and used there settings to do a factory restore and it made no difference.
