Cisco RV-345P Dual WAN Gigabit PoE VPN Router Reviewed

One of the creators of PFSense is now (since a few months) working on the UniFi line of Ubiquiti and features are being added very fast. There is nothing terrible about Ubiquiti routers, I have no idea why you would even say that. And @System Error Message you in a bad mood or simply here to...

Cisco RV-345P Dual WAN Gigabit PoE VPN Router Reviewed

Not to go to much off topic, but I used to work with a lot of Cisco RV/SG/WAP products. Until I found out about Ubiquiti's UniFi line. We now sell, deploy and manage Unifi and Cisco RV products (Routers, switches, access points) across almost all customers and I couldn't have been happier...

DTIM and Beacon Interval with iPhones

Hello all, So i have been experimenting a lot with getting wireless (Cisco WAP371) as stable as possible, especially with iPhones and iPads. They do seem to connect but sometimes the SSID does not show up or it drops connection when in sleep mode. What I have seen so far is that the...

    WiFi Rates

So if i purely want 11b devices not to be able to connect i simply disable legacy rates 1.1 and 2? The lowest that should be able to connect is 11g for the speakers, so.

    WiFi Rates

Yep, so basically I have this now (same SSID for both bands (thx to band steer)): 2.4Ghz band (with Band steer enabled (so 5ghz capable devices will auto move)): 802.11b/g/n, 20mhz, lower primary channel, channel 6. Short Guard: Enabled, Protection: Auto, Beacon Interval: 100, DTIM Period: 2...

    WiFi Rates

Unfortunately I still have 11g devices in our home (mostly airplay speakers like the B&W series), so i cannot switch to pure 2.4ghz N unfortunately yet. The lowest I still need at this point is 11g support on 2.4ghz. Though on the 5Ghz AC band I have it on A/N which works fine.

    WiFi Rates

Actually i enabled all rates now for supported and basic i set to 1,2,5.5 and 11. And that seems to be working fine. (Cisco WAP371)

    WiFi Rates

Hello all, What Im missing here is an article explaining details about the Legacy Rate Sets and what is best to choose as basic rates and supported rates. For 2.4Ghz you usually have the option of 1,2,5.5,6,9,11,12,18,24,36,48,54. Most wifi access points allow to set some or all as...

Airplay showing up slowly on Wifi and iphone dropping

Hello all, Ever since we switched to the Cisco RV320 Router, Cisco SG300 switch behind it) in a combination with the Cisco WAP561 access points, we have it that iphones/macbooks sometimes either dont connect or connect (after a few secs) but then take a long time to show all airplay devices on...

Cisco RV320 vs Ubiquiti Edgemax router

Basically mostly at home (plus my office business) with average 6-10 users, airplay / dlna is important and throughput is very important. We have a 200/100 Internet connection and have about 10 devices local that host things like plex server, email, web etc. Plus game development.
