I opened a ticket with Asus and they are asking for logs etc, so I have to load the new firmware that breaks it and send them logs, config, settings, etc. Debating whether it is even worth it. Sick of wasting time and may just return them and buy something else.
I have several, HS100, H105, H107, HS210, HS200, KP400 all on the latest firmware according to the app. Everything worked perfectly for years with my 10 year old RT-AC66R access points. Problems started with the new upgraded RT-AX55 access points on the latest firmware.
I don't see a setting...
I only had problems with my TP-Link smart plugs/switches. Everything else seemed pretty good. This isn't a hardware problem with overheating or a traffic related thing, mine did this right from bootup until I went back to old firmware
I tried all of that and it didn't make a difference. The only thing that fixed it was going back to the older August 11th firmware. Exact same settings, but the firmware version makes the difference.
I bought 2 RT-AX55's that I am using as Access Points. I updated to the latest firmware and configured them as AIMESH Access Points with ethernet backhaul. Phones and PCs seem to work pretty well, but all of my TP-Link Kasa Samrt switches/plugs seem to be intermittent. They seem to loose...
I just bought the AX55 and updated to the latest firmware and all my TP-Link Kasa smart plugs and switched quit working reliably. I saw this thread and downgrade mine back to August 11th firmware Version 3.0.0.4.386.43597 and it works like it used to on my old RT-ac66 router. I didn't change...
I saw your post and have a different Asus router, but the same problem. I just bought 2 RT-ax55's setup in AP mode using AIMESH. I was having the same issues with my TP-link switches, so I went back to August firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_43597 and mine started working as well. Did you ever...
Amazon has RT-AX55 routers for $60. I want to update my network at home. Currently running Untangled on a PC as my router with 2 RT-AC66U setup as access points. If I setup 2 RT-AX55's as access points and enable AIMESH, does this handle handing off of clients between the 2 access points...
PS3 is only wireless G and not capable of N speeds so a max of about 22mbps. You are also streaming wirelessly from laptop so you are cutting your available bandwidth in half since ps3 and laptop are competing for the same wireless bandwidth. I bet if you use the wired GB connection of the...
I have Merlin running on my main ac66 router and an E3000 running DD-WRT as a wired access point without problems. Use Inssider to make sure all are on different non-interfering channels and use the same SSID and password and it works great.
