Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

I know it was a piece of shirt. It was my first computer, hence the choice for a username. I had my most fun on a 64C.

No I don't lol. It was late, I was buzzed. Although I did dirty flash to my AC2900 and it's working fine, so there's that.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

Dirty Flash! GT-AX11000Pro. So far so good. Caveat, I made the drunkin' decision to test my new StarLink G2 on the same night I upgraded firmware :D Set it up and put it in to bypass. Unplugged my Bell LTE connection ( vlan 35) and inserted the precious. After numerous problems, I realized...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Thanks for the reply! As mentioned, I'm a newb at editing the jffs. Is there a command from terminal I use or do I need to use nano? If so, how would one do that using nano. ~EDIT~ OK, figured out. Thought I would have to do it through the terminal, but it's as simple as backing up your jffs...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

I have this exact problem, it's been driving me insane. I see that you did manage to fix it by deleting certain things in the jffs. Could you walk a jffs editing newbie through your fix?

    Questions from a new user

#2 I image for the same reason you're able to access LAN GUI now. The app is connecting through DDNS (away from home) rather than IP 192.168.x.x on your LAN. #3 Could be many things; a: If you reboot your router you'll need to log back in. b: Password manager ext in your browser...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Hi! I'll give that a try, but I think I figured it out. First I came across this thread, post #15. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asus-rt-ac87u-5ghz-connection-issues.32922/ I've always had my previous routers next to my TV / speakers / sub woofer ( all wired connections) with no problems...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Ok. Did some tests and I was dropping 5ghz. Unplugged for a few hrs and everything seemed to be working fine. Site survey worked, device not getting dropped, so it does look like a hardware / heat issue as after I let heat climb to operating temp( 49C/2.4ghz 61C/5ghz 75C/CPU) site survey didn't...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Hi! Thanks for the info but I'm not using macfiltering and my channel is 149. Gonna do some tests later, starting to think it maybe the 5ghz isn't working the way it should. My phone is the only 5ghz device I have around atm to test with. Is there any know issues with software ( I'm back to...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

No I hadn't. OK turned off both radios and rebooted, did a power cycle. Scan started and stopped ( that's new) as both radios were off. Turned both back on and power cycled. Scan hung up like before. Then I disabled 5ghz and did a scan. Worked! Toggled 2,4ghz off 5ghz on. Did a scan and got hung...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Damn, really? All other antenna functions are working properly. Does site survey utilize different hardware then what is used for broadcasting a signal? I did notice a couple of other people mentioning the same problem in this thread. When I click on t he site survey tab, it starts automatically...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Still no go. Didn't think would work 'cause I wiped my jffs after the restore last night using the option in the GUI and if I understand correctly, that's the only difference between the 2 options. It's not a big deal, but I bought this ac87U refurbished, so I want to make sure it's working well...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Thanks for the reply! I did a factory reset via GUI restore button and tried Opera ( great browser that I always forget about), still no go. Weird as everything else seems to be working / displaying fine.

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

New 87U running good so far. One thing I`ve seen mentioned a couple of times, but not answered (perhaps I missed it?) is, site survey just spins and spins never populating. I did a restore after flashing, manual config, don't use mac filters and done a ctrl+F5. FF, Edge, Chrome. Even tried...
