What model do you have? My cpu runs from 65 ° to 70 ° with a access point in the system.

Anyone one else having issues with client vpn? Have it setup with specific MAC’s on the network. Get disconnections often.

Have noticed this myself. However even with having OpenVPN on the client I have the same issue. I have to reconnect to get it going again.

Total bias but the AC86u is a beast for me as a home user. The VPN performance is effortless.

Are you able to see any clashes by doing a site survey. All devices unable to find 5ghz? No firmware upgrades? Does turning on QOS allow you to connect again?

Select the Mac addresses then on the right in the parental section see the + buttons. This will give you a drop down menu of content to block for each content section. Make sure you’ve added the devices, they will appear at the bottom and tell you what’s being blocked.

Depends. My 56u has that max but my 86u doesn’t have this issue. But I’m not sure what the max is on the 86u as I’ve not tested to see how many characters more than my 56u I can use.

Do a update then flash with Merlin. After that do a restore and then manually enter all details. I went with screenshots when I did this. As others have said you can’t use the settings from your old router. I have the 86u. Very happy with it. Vpn is now a dream with this router.
