Any idea why the 6Ghz band can't be used as a dedicated backhaul? its only giving me the option for the 5Ghz-2 band to be a dedicated backhaul. Currently using 2 AXE16000 in AiMesh mode.
When I had 2 AXE11000 in AiMesh, it did give me the option for the 6Ghz band to be a dedicated backhaul
yup that worked, after its added via wired backhaul I was able to disconnect it and its running off the 6Ghz backhaul . Guess somethings broken in AiMesh that doesn't allow to be seen wirelessly through setup wizard
Flashed two GT-AXE16000 with merlins 386.8 , factory erased both of them. Went to setup the main router, everything good. But when trying to add the second GT-AXE16000 it can not be found though the AiMesh setup wizard. Keeps searching for a AiMesh capable router but none are found.
So I setup...
This test is straight from the router, and when connected to ethernet from a PC or Mac or other gaming/media devices , the upload is 20~30 Mbps. I restored to factory but issue persists. I connected my old router (GT-AXE11000) I would get 850Mbps upload. So definitely a router/firmware issue
im getting the same thing, as if upload is capped to ~20-30 Mbps. I think the best thing to do is submit feedback through settings page, sometimes they'll email you a pre-release firmware with fixes.
Haha yes it is, every year when a new asus GT router comes out I upgrade, and every year I see improvements over prior GT routers. The two AXE11000 I have now will go on eBay to pay for some of the cost of the new ones. I’m hoping with quad band I’ll be able to have one 5Ghz using either 40mhz...
Placed an order for 2 on Asus website Tuesday , got them delivered today. Can’t wait to go home and set them up. They’ll be on Aimesh, Wifi 6E will be the backhaul.
How two AXE1100 look like in AiMesh. In my wireless settings it says that the 6GHz is using control channel 37. Does anyone suggest to use a specific 6GHz channel or should i leave it on Auto?
I bought two AXE11000 to have in Aimesh mode. So far it’s been really buggy. Second router that’s acting as a node is consistently disconnecting throughout the day. Have had it since Friday. I’m sure it will be buggy for the first couple of firmwares. I occasionally get full download speeds from...
Hey All, was able to secure 2 of these when I saw it available for sale in the early morning hours of January 1st off amazon. After I told a friend about it I couldn’t find it back on Amazon after searching for it which I found weird, but here’s the link below if anyone’s trying to find it on...
Wondering if @RMerlin could take a look at the firmware, see if it’s legit. I know nothing about coding firmware, curious if it needs to have sort of signatures from ASUS or some form of security to see if its flashable to the router
The guy on the ROG forums who posted the link is answering...
I have Two AX11000 in AiMesh mode, one v1.0 and other is v1.1, does anyone know the difference?? Should I set the v1.0 or v1.1 as primary?? Honestly can’t tell the difference
