Help With iDevices HomeKit Enabled Switches Issues & ASUS AC3100/AC88u

@jbodine74 Thanks for your reply. Yes I also have a SmartThings setup as well and that is sweet as a nut therefore brings me back to thinking this is iDevice or HomeKit related (Bonjour routing etc). One thing I did find strange is that I am seeing SSID's with a period (.) in them cause issues...

Help With iDevices HomeKit Enabled Switches Issues & ASUS AC3100/AC88u

@sfx2000 Yes already had IGMP snooping and proxy off. Thanks for the suggestion though ! Like I said, not saying the iDevices switches (idevicesinc.com) are not the problem, they very well could be but seems like there may be something else going on as well. Almost like routing isn't working...

Help With iDevices HomeKit Enabled Switches Issues & ASUS AC3100/AC88u

Hi there I am seeing a number of issues with iDevices Homekit enabled products (HomeKit switches) and currently run across AC3100 and AC88u. I have tried isolation testing using other routers, configs etc and still see the same issues (disconnects of the devices, random drop offs non response...

Honeywell Thermostats dropping connect to ASUS RT-AC88U

I'm also seeing major issues with smart devices but this time with iDevices smart home products (switches) on the AC88u both in terms of pairing to the WiFi (2.4) and also in terms of keeping the connect alive to them. This absolutely is leaning towards problems with the products but not ruling...

RT-AC88U Dual WAN -- Is it still "experimental"?

@bodean, agreed and that would be fantastic. Love the option of Dual WAN for fail over/back but needs to work otherwise become a pain in the ___ ;)

RT-AC88U Dual WAN -- Is it still "experimental"?

@Fizix wanted to reply when I saw your post as I too am seeing the same thing. Using other ISP's like Comcast & TWC see the same issue. I am noticing that regardless of setting (look for 40 seconds before failing over, wait for 40 before failing back etc) that a) the AC88u seems to jump the gun...

Help With High Latency Seen On WiFi LAN Traffic For AC3100 & AC88u - Updated Test Info & Findings

Did some more testing today with some interesting results. Pinged from an 802.11n client (Macbook Pro) to the Mac Mini #1 I saw the expected high latency, however I was able to improve it with some mixed results. First test here is from the Macbook Pro to the Mac Mini #1 while it (Mac Mini 1)...

Help With High Latency Seen On WiFi LAN Traffic For AC3100 & AC88u - Updated Test Info & Findings

I pinged out to ATV 4th Gen (from the 802.11n Macbook Pro connect to the AC3100). On the ATV 4 the pings start high, 1st is over 500ms then every subsequent is under 5ms (like power saving being on initially as discussed but kicking off quickly). This could then point back to the minis as an...

Help With High Latency Seen On WiFi LAN Traffic For AC3100 & AC88u - Updated Test Info & Findings

Splitting reply into 3 posts: Post 1 of 3 If I saw the 1 Gbit/s WiFi you are seeing then that would be great. Which AP/Router were you using for that test (your Network Utility screen grab) ? Disabled all VLANs on the Cisco, in fact deleted all completely, so all clear there. AP is hardwired...

Help With High Latency Seen On WiFi LAN Traffic For AC3100 & AC88u - Updated Test Info & Findings

Thats interesting to see. I did reply to your earlier post with extensive info on the VLANs being deleted, further testing but for some reason that larger post (just posted it about 5 mins ago) is awaiting moderation ?

Help With High Latency Seen On WiFi LAN Traffic For AC3100 & AC88u - Updated Test Info & Findings

and that was exactly my thought, that Mac (through Airport diag) is showing correct TX & PHY modes, now backed up by Wireshark analysis. However the 11 Mbit/S Link Rate comes from the Network Utility built into OS X. Now this is not ruling out that there may be a bug in reported Link Speed...
