3.0.0.4.220 mac clone prob

Was online last night, got booted off the internet. Checked router status, said disconnected. Had aicloud working along with ddns- noticed that the Mac clone address had changed? Wouldn't clone to the correct address again until downgrading back to rmerlin rm14b. All is working now with rm14b. Anyone else have any similar experience? 3.0.0.4.220 worked for 5 days no problem. Rebooting and power cycle did nothing.

Just my experience.

Sorry if this is necro'ing an old thread, but I found your msg on google and wanted to reply... I have the exact same issue with my RT-N66U on that same firmware connecting to my ubee modem.

I notice the mac address doesn't stay on the clone address and cycles through a few different addresses. I'm able to get it to connect with a lot of messing around (changing the mac address at just the right time while it is its first connect attempt seems to work best).

I suspect after the first connection attempt, the modem gets out of passthrough mode and actually gives a local ip to the router instead. I think this is due to all the mac address cycling. It's annoying as hell, and if anyone happens to have a solution for this, I'd be ever so happy.

Hate to say it, but I have an ac66u now. Plan on selling the n66u on work ads. Asus sent a new one rma'd - but I haven't seen if it has the same problems. Ac66u has been stable w/out issues so far.
