Just switched from Centurylink Fiber to Quantum Fiber and their Q1000k SmartNID in bridge / untagged mode. Trying to access the admin page, and a workaround for a bad software bug that causes terrible and constant latency spikes.
In this comment a person figured out how to get it working
Does anyone know if this would be possible without having to get a managed switch that supports vlan?
- Connect SmarNID 10Gbps port to WAN on AX86U-Pro WAN 2.5gb port, set WAN port to VLAN 201
- Connect AX86U-Pro LAN port to 1Gbps port on SmartNID, set native VLAN on that port to a dedicated VLAN for the SmartNID and assign it a local IP Address.
The SmartNID's are quite finicky and their bridge mode can go haywire. I was trying the 2nd part of this earlier and something I did made it lose service until I factory reset the SmartNID back into router mode.
Thanks!
