Need a new router, devices used are Windows Laptop, Macbook 2012, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPhone 5, PS3, Printer. Current router is Cisco DCP 3825 modem/router combo.

A lot of wireless networks around my house

Budget is ~$150

Currently looking at Asus N66U, Amped Wireless SR20000G, PowerAP-N router/access point

Router is going to me on the 2nd floor.

Almost the same setup for me. My N66U is on middle floor, works great.

Three story house. Recommend you get a middle-of-the road WiFi router and 1 or two Access Points (APs). An AP can be a re-purposed WiFi router, configured as an AP. Those will be needed to get good coverage in a 3 story home.

Number of SSIDs you see in a survey isn't important. What is important is which, if any, habitually use a lot of air time to stream video. Then avoid using a channel within 3 of that SSID's channel.
 
Just get the ESR600H strong enough and it cost less that what you have budgeted for you could get two of them though if you need extra one as AP only.
 
WiFi is two-way. Your client devices transmissions constrain range. The signal strength AT the WiFi router end of the link is rarely displayed.
