4g ac55u can't connect to the admin page (error_status).

hi

i just bought a asus 4g ac55u.

I try to configure it, but when i change some parameters, it log me out, and then, no way to login anymore.

http://192.168.1.1/Main_Login.asp?error_status=1&page=index.asp

As you can see, in the address, there is the "error_status". i enter my login info on this page, but when i click on connexion, nothing happens. I try with Edge, Firefox, Chrome....the same !

So, i reset, and reset again, and try configure it, and then boum ! log out....with no way to login again. So reset again.

I also download the firmware and reinstall it....but doesn't change anything !


So how do I do to connect to this f*cking admin page ?
I just manage to change the login / password, but after that and a few things, but if i click on "apply", bouuum....can't login again ! (i can connect with telnet, but this is not what I want...and I don't know what to do with this anyway !)

So what's wrong with this one ?
Do I miss something ?
How could I get rid of this ?
Do you know any solution ?

Avoid any esoteric characters in your password, they don't always get properly passed through the webpage. Stick to alphanumerics, and basic symbols such as "-!_".

"% and $" can cause problems.

If the buttons don't work, then quite possibly something is causing a Javascript error. Open the web browser console and look for any Javascript error.

Click on that "MainLogin.asp:231" to see the content of that line. That will tell us what is breaking the page.

well it seems that my unit is faulty. I can't even have the wizard config correctly now.....:-( :-( :-(

Try disabling any plugs/extensions (Adblock, etc...) and see if that helps...

After searching for another router on amazon, i see that someone who bought an asus router, but not the same one, has the same config page as mine (without nothing). And then, he explains that the browser need to be in english....Otherwise, problem with the webpages of the router.

In a last chance, i said to myself, well...let's try it !

AND....AND .....AND......it seems to work !!!!!!!! i can now configure the router, and go to every webpages of the config !!!

You really need to check the content of that line as I wrote in my last post. There's a good chance your issue comes from another device that has an invalid hostname.

even with no other device plug in, just the router and my computer, it doesn't work
Also, as I wrote, i managed to pass the login screen and configure it for.....10min, but after that, boum ! the webpages go wrong again.
So don't bother.
I'm sending it back and i will buy a huawei instead.
