Interesting... with devices that support the newer 160MHz modes (80+80 or 160), some older clients may have problems with those information elements to determine how to configure their mode...

@thiggins - this might be a good test case for the Router/AP's...

@RMerlin, @Voxel - might want to take a look at the hostapd for devices that support 160MHz...

Overrated if you living packed among others, but useful if you live far from a neighbor.
Sence wide 80MHz+80MHz and 160MHz channels improve throughput only when full channel bandwidth is free from interfering transmissions.
 
I'm still trying to figure out all this talk about 80+80 or 160. What is it exactly?

With 160MHz channels - some regions do not have contiguous spectrum to support the full span of a 160MHz channel, so 11ac can support both the 160Mhz span, plus they can support two 80MHz channels running concurrently...
