802.1Q (VLAN) under WAN and LAN-IPTV under LAN, doing the same job??

Anyone knows if there is a difference between the 802.1Q (VLAN) configuration in the WAN menu and the LAN-IPTV option in the LAN menu? It seems that both can perform the same function of tagging internet traffic with a specific VID or VLAN ID. Both works if configured with my Internet service provide tag.

I wonder which one I should use or why a redundant option have been introduced starting from the 3.0.0.6 firmware branch.

Thank you for any hints you can give!
