AC3200 power adapter

I'm looking to buy a used AC3200 but it doesn't have an adapter. Does anyone know if the AC68 power adapter will work to have it powered on and tested to verify it's working or will it not work?

As per ASUS (https://www.asus.com/us/Networking/RTAC3200/specifications/), any power pack that meets these specifications should work:

AC Input : 110V~240V(50~60Hz)
DC Output : 19 V with max. 2.37 A current​

Yes it looks like the AC68 is not matching on the 1.75 A current, so i'm wondering if that would make a difference if i'm using it to test only?

While under voltage and/or amperage is better than being over, how the lower amperage is going to impact the AC3200 is unknown. If you intend to use for testing, try it but you have to realize that it could impact your testing.

The label on the back cover of the AC3200 should say what the max draw is when fully "loaded" and includes the USB power. If the 1.75A 68U brick is less than that value, you can probably get by OK as long as you aren't powering any USB devices. You can connect USB devices that have an external power source.

Besides matching the connector, you want to match the voltages, your AC supply and the router DC input voltage of 19v. Then you want enough current that the router is likely to draw under full load. So, you want to match or exceed the rated DC current of 2.37a. 1.75a might not be enough power for normal operation.

As @Ronald Schwerer correctly posted: if voltage and plug (and polarization on plug) is the same you can use it even with lower current as long as you dont need full power due to missing USB-devices.

My 68U and 86U got this same adapter 1,75A@19V=33W but will use only about 12W, so there is much space to top, same will be with 3200.
