AC56S custom firmware??

May I know if the custom firmware for AC56U can be installed on the model AC56S?

the ac56s will likely not receive support from 3rd party firmwares as it's market seems to be entirely for the one SG ISP. at this time, you are better off leaving it alone. fortunately for you, though, you shouldn't have any wifi region problems

Since it's mostly a single core version of the RT-AC56U, it might not be hard to support it (probably just needs to reuse the RT-AC56U build profile, but with SMP disabled). However it's available for a very limited market, so it's not something I want to actively devote time to support, sorry.

Part of the reason to buy Asus router is because of your firmware ... think I picked the wrong model ... Hope you will change your mind somehow someday... Many Thanks.
