I've been wanting to get one myself. Been holding off since those thieves selling it want to charge me over 10$ shipping cost for a 30$ mini PCIe card that fits in the palm of my hand, so I'm waiting for a different reseller to offer it. Guess I might as well keep waiting for Intel to finally debug their driver.

I think you are downgrading it. There is an update from 16.5.1 to 16.5.3 for Windows 8.1 on the download center. well...i guess all they did was change the version number....i am using win 8....and the driver stays the same....it should still load a newer driver since 8 and 8.1 are identical...I can even load win 7 drivers fine in 8...

I did manage to extract the driver from the new package for 8.1....and its appears identical to the one for win 8...16.1.5.2

EDIT.....so updated to win 8.1....and....its the same driver version even if u have 8.1 (16.1.5.2)

Half of the cards advertised on Amazon are falsely advertised as 802.11ac when they are in reality the 802.11n SKU. Not gonna play russian roulette with them, sorry.

I ordered 3 of these cards at different times from that seller and I received exactly what it said it was....its an AC card....retunrs are simple if there should be a mix up. They are also sold on Provantage as well....but higher price.

You still have to double check. Some resellers claim 802.11ac, right next to a SKU that is clearly 802.11n only.
