AC66u 2.4 gHz radio stuck

Occasional Visitor
Using 3.0.0.246.20 firmware on my AC66u. I mentioned on another thread that I'm getting incredibly bad throughput from it (a small fraction of my 2wire). Anyway what's really puzzling me is that I've discovered that, no matter what settings I choose, the 2.4 gHz radio is on and stuck on channel 2. This is confirmed both by the router wireless log and running inSSIDer. It makes no difference if I try to move the channel, disable the radio entirely, or whatever. The firmware dutifully reports the change, perhaps turns off half the wireless icon if I theoretically disable the radio, but the radio keeps broadcasting (though it seems like it goes in and out).

Considering you have a lot of weird issues (being familiar with Bell's 2Wire myself, I can tell you there's no way those junk modem/routers could outrange an RT-AC66U :) ), I would consider doing a factory default reset, and reconfiguring everything (do not reload saved settings, cause that would nullify the factory default reset).

I had a problem with mine being stuck on channel 1, as I mentioned in another thread. Resetting to factory defaults fixed the issue.
