AC66U as switch?

New Around Here
Hello all. I have an AC66U I had mothballed as I had replaced it with an AC87. Now, I want to use it as a switch - bridge all 5 ethernet ports and disable wireless.

My network scheme is as thus:

ISP
|
AC87
|_________________
| \ \
AC66 Xbox One PS4
|_________
| \
PC1 PC2

The AC87 is obviously the gateway, and functions as the DHCP server for all clients, as well as wireless AP. The AC66 is connected to the gateway via its WAN port. I currently have the AC66 in AP mode, which has seemed to effectively turn it into a switch...however, I cannot seem to be able to disable the wireless radios. I have removed the antennas, but I want to reduce wireless interference.

I'm also running AsusWRT Merlin 380.59 on both routers, but I am open to other firmware. I was running Tomato Shibby but didn't see any option to change the operation mode.

I'm using my old D-Link DGL-4300 as a switch. I have it connected via one of the LAN ports and have set a static IP on the DGL-4300 of 192.168.1.254. The radio has been turned off. I don't think it had a AP mode so I just turned off the DHCP server. Seems to be working just fine. Just curious as to why you are using the WAN port? Does it have to do with AP mode? And if so with the radios turned off does that negate the AP mode?

It seems as though AP mode disables the router, NAT, and DHCP server, and the WAN port is on the same network as the LAN ports. The AC66 did receive an IP address interestingly enough, but all clients connected to it are visible to clients on the WAN side and vice versa. So in essence, AP mode is a switch, except with the wireless radios on, the device has two more interfaces.
