New Around Here
I am looking to buy this ASUS:

Asus RT-AC66U B1 Dual-Band 3x3 AC1750 WiFi 4-Port Gigabit Router

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01N5320EN/?tag=smallncom-20

I know ASSUSWRT-MERLIN is no longer supporting it.

RT-AC66U380.70

Is this compatible with ASA66U B1?
RT-AC68U_380.70_0.zip2018-04-0834.4 MB

The reason I want to buy this is to be able to have the KILL SWITCH Option. But I am noob on this - i dont want to damage the ASUS RT-AC66U B1 firmware. I am not sure if the stock ASUS firmware whether it has this option or not.

I want to use Force Internet Traffic through tunnel - is this something that ASUSWRT has build in from Stock feature

I can use it on my AC66U B1?

Yes. RT-AC66U B1 is RT-AC68U variant. Both use the same firmware. Merlin 380.70 is for older RT-AC66U MIPS router.

Question: Can I take this to Middle East and use it oversea? I read on other posts that if I buy it from USA. Its going to be No. but if I buy it from Canada, same thing? does it work?

Each country has own Wi-Fi regulations. Compare what matches between US/Canada and the Middle East country.
