Hi All,
i purchased an AC68U 2 months ago, installed and forgot it.

Yesterday my ISP notified me that my bandwidt usage was 80% of my monthly budget. SO I decided logging into the router to check where al the GB's were going.

But there was no way for me to log-into the router. Not via asus.router.com, not via 192.168.1.1, not via the app. So I ended up hard rebooting the router.

Is this a known issue? Is there something I can do to prevent or troubleshoot this?

Second qustion. The traffic monitor will only show log data from after the rebboot. So no way for me to check my past bandwith usage. Might there be a workaround?

Thanks in advance.

once gone its gone, you cant bring it back.

You can enable SSH and next time you cant access GUI connect with SSH and type: service restart_httpd
Should solve it.

Update to last firmware from today!
Could help too, who knows.

thx. SSH is now enabled. Next time i will hopefully be able to restart the httpd.

Is this a common error, or just a coincidence?

I upgraded immedeately to latest firmware yesterday.

Anyone suggestions about the traffic logs from before the reboot?

yes common problem for some.

I think thats only possible on Merlin with log scripting (search for it in SNB).
