ac68u is it bricked?

Anybody ever have after on/off or reset/power on ---> no power light led, no wifi, reset button does nothing, the usb 2.0 led on the front remains on even though I removed it.

The ac68u was plugged into a ups. Had a lightning show last night, then a mains outage, now I can't get it rebooted, or into recovery. I have searched and seen the post by rmerlin about a usb tty cable he used once. Not sure if it is worth it as 1 of the 4 lan ports is already blown out. I did put asus recovery onto a windows machine, no luck.

Probably. If the power LED fails to turn itself on, then either the AC adapter is fried, or the router is.

After a lightning hit - check the adapter first... and that's a low-cost approach... if you get no LED's on the device, it's either the adapter, or the DC input on the router itself, which in many cases, it's a fuse on the DC input side, and that's either a hard blow (common) or a soft blow (polyfuse) - I don't think Asus uses Polyfuses, but it doesn't hurt to unplug things for a day and see where it goes if the AC Adapter replacement doesn't fix things...

Thanks for the replies. It has power, some of the other led lights turn on.
Guess I will have to move on. ~sigh~
