AC87U no Powersave Mode on 5GHz?

New Around Here
I have a AC87U which is running the latest Asuswrt-merlin build (380.65_4). In my setup I have a main network which has separate SSIDs for 2.4 GHz and 5 Ghz. On the guest network the SSID for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz is the same, so the devices automatically switches between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Now I noticed that the devices connected to the guest network that uses 5GHz goes back to 2.4GHz when not being used for a while and then powersaving gets enabled, but all the devices connected to the main network on 5GHz never enters powersaving mode, and just stays on all night. Is there really no powersaving on 5GHz on the AC87U?

I see that there was another thread about this 2 years ago: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/wireless-powersave.25624/

There is no explicit power saving option on 5 GHz - but I also disabled the option on the 2.4 GHz.

I have disabled WLAN on standby on all my Android devices to avoid power train when the devices are not in use.

So the AC87U doesn't have a power saving option on 5 GHz at all? In that case I guess a solution would be to have same SSID on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz so devices can switch over to 2.4 GHz when not being used over night for example. If the AC87U doesn't have an power saving option on 5GHz what makes it different from for example the RT-AC68U which as far as I know does have a power saving option on 5GHz?

I think this setting is dependant on your region as the TX power adjustment setting is available on my AC-87U. I remember a thread on the forum discussing this option being removed for the US based routers in later firmwares.

I live in Europe. Is it possible to enable power saving option on 5GHz with some commands or maybe it would be possible for someone to add the option in a future firmware? If it's just a question about the firmware and not limited in the Quantenna chip in the AC87U?
