New Around Here
Hi guys,

I am already having a router-modem which is working fine (with ip range of 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.150). It is also connected to Pi4 running NAS and all other things running in containers.

I want to add the ASUS DSL Ac68U as a secondary router (with ip range of 192.168.151 - 192.168.1.254). I have changed the LAN IP to 192.168.2.1.
I have set the WAN ip manually to 192.168.1.2 with the same subnet.
Even though i disable DHCP server. I am still getting ip from ASUS router as (192.168.2.X).

The issue here is I am guessing since its getting the ip as 192.168.2.X, i am not able to connect to NAS (192.168.1.X).

Is there a way to overcome this. I just want to add my ASUS router as well connect the NAS connected to my primary router (which is set to manual ip)

Cheers!!!

Configure the Asus as an access point instead of a router (assuming that's an option for that model).
