After my DNS-323 Crash...

After my DNS-323 Crash I've decided to build a more resistant Net for my office.
I have a small home/office I mainly work on Graphics / Audio / Video and what I need is a relative fast Net and safe for my data.
I had 2 Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB in mirror to put on that important files.
Now due to new build I would like a 4 HD NAS in which I can have 2Mirror Drive + 2Mirror Drive. I dunno how this RAID is called (if it exist) or if i Have to buy 2x2Bay NAS.

Also I will need a nice 8 port gigabit switch
Some gigabit pci card

Keep in mind budget is not unlimited

And please give some suggestion on things to keep in mind building a new net to a noob like me

RAID is not a substitute for backup. RAID will not protect you from controller or power supply failure. It protects only against disk failure.

I strongly recommend that you have two NASes or a NAS and a networked share and have an automatic backup from the NAS to the second machine.

U mean have 2 Nas and have copy of same files on both?

Yes. Two NASes, one mirrored (rsync'd) to the other.

So, let's say.
1x2Bay Nas in RAID 0 + 1x2Bay Nas in RAID 0, so I will both have Performance Improve (due to RAID 0) than Data Safeness (due to Backupto the other nas)

I bet there are Nas doing backup to other Nases automatically without the need of doing it manually or having specific software on the pc.

Yes, two RAID0 NASes are one way that you could go. You might not see much gain over a single-drive NAS, however to make it worth the extra money.

Buffalo, Thecus, QNAP, Synology, NETGEAR and other NASes can do NAS-to-NAS backup / replication.
