AiMesh changes made to router make it to node or reset needed?

Do changes made to the main router in an AiMesh get copied automatically to the nodes? Or, do you need to reset up the node (reset node, place close to main router, and search)? For example, if I change a setting on NAT Passthrough (say disable SIP Passthrough) of WAN tab after I setup node, would this flow through to node? Or, if I change a setting in Wireless-Professional tab, would the node pick it up?
