AIMesh - do ALL nodes have to be in range of the primary router?

New Around Here
Basically I'm wondering if I can extend the range of my network by having: router--node--node (the last node is not within range of the primary, only the 1st node).

Thank you.

No needed. The 2nd node can connect with 1st node by wifi or ethernet. The connection shall be ok. But the performance shall be depend on you needed.

use to be page on asus site use to say 2 in chain up to 4 nodes total but its been removed

router-wifi-node(ok)-Wifi-node(ok)
router-wifi-node(ok)-Wifi-node(ok)-Wifi-node(not-ok)
node(ok)-Wifi-router-wifi-node(ok)-Wifi-node(ok)
node(ok)-Wifi-node(ok)-Wifi-router-wifi-node(ok)-Wifi-node(ok)

BTW after updating to 20942+ WIFI nodes are finally staying online (4 days now) still yet to try ethernet for my remote node ...
