AiProtection and OpenVPN security

I found out that OpenVPN clients that connect to the router as OpenVPN server do not get AiProtection. Is there any thing I can do so that OpenVPN clients will get AiProtection? Will AsusWRT Merlin be different?

I found out that Asus AC68U on latest stock firmware only support TLS 1.0 not 1.1 or 1.2. Does AsusWRT Merlin offers updated OpenVPN server?

Probably nothing much you can do. The underlying BWDPI engine from TrendMicro only works for LAN clients. Even traffics originated from the router itself isn't accounted for by the engine.

There might be workarounds over it. Let's see if some curious souls will discover a way.

I'm curious. How do you know that the traffics originated from the router itself isn't accounted by the engine?
