Wi-Fi chipmaker Quantenna announced it is partnering with AirTies to add mesh capability to products based on its chipsets.

Based in Istanbul, AirTies has quietly been providing its mesh Wi-Fi technology to service providers in Europe and Asia for years. The company has only recently begun to work its way into U.S. ISPs including Atlantic Broadband, Midco and Frontier Communications.

The deal will integrate AirTies mesh networking software into Quantenna's entire portfolio, including its QSR1000 and QSR2000 4x4 802.11ac and 8x8 QSR10G chipsets. Airties software
provides coordinated channel changes across the mesh network, client steering to the most optimum band and access point and dynamic packet routing to improve whole-home coverage and performance.

Pricing or dates of availability were not available from Quantenna or AirTies at this time.
