AP Express authentication page in hotel

Staying in a hotel in Europe that is ethernet only. I've brought my Apple AirPort Express to create a network via bridge mode. I've never had trouble doing this in other hotels.

I've set it up and have no problem connecting and entering hotel password on the authentication page on my MacBook Pro. Problem arises on my iPhone and iPad. I get a "No Portal is defined for this zone".

How can I work around this?

Could be that the hotel internet service doesn't allow connection sharing.
Ask the front desk.
