Are openvpn settings lost after firmware flash?

I had my Openvpn working perfectly over the holidays but haven't need it to use it since last week. Last week I needed to use it but it didn't work. I then noticed that nothing was set up in the router.

The only thing I can think of is that my settings were lost after a firmware flash.

Depends. My settings stay the same after I reboot or Flash on updated firmware. I usually just need to reload the password.txt onto the RAM.

I fixed my other OpenVPN but I'll save this just in case.
